Wrongful Death is defined as "death caused by the wrongful act or neglect of another." Cal. Code Civ. Proc. §377.60 Wrongful death can be caused by elder abuse in nursing homes. A cause of action (lawsuit) can be brought by family members or by an administrator of the estate of the deceased. -
